For newcomers
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II roleplay
Blood & Banners RP is a free Kingdom Come: Deliverance II roleplay server (KCD2 RP), played through KCD:MP, the fan-made multiplayer mod. It is set in and around Kuttenberg in 1403, and you live one character there among other players.
The launcher is new and not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may say "Windows protected your PC": choose More info → Run anyway. It talks only to www.bloodandbanners.net, and fetches the official KCD:MP client from GitHub, checked against its published SHA-256.
What is KCD2 multiplayer roleplay?
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has no official multiplayer. The KCD:MP mod adds it, and on a roleplay server the point is not to win a match but to play a person. You choose a name that fits fifteenth-century Bohemia, you speak as that person, and you live by what they would do. Out-of-character talk has its own channels; everywhere else, you are your character.
Kingdom Come suits it well. The combat is slow and deadly enough that a drawn sword means something, the towns and the countryside are real places, and a groschen is worth earning. Add other players and every merchant, guard, thief and lord can be a person with their own plans.
Blood & Banners RP: a Kuttenberg roleplay server
The realm runs on its own game mode, built for role-play first. What you earn, own and break stays earned, owned and broken: when you log out, your character keeps where they stood, what they carried, their horse and their skills. Nobody is handed a story. You find work, make friends and enemies, swear to a banner or raise your own, and settle disputes with words, coin or steel. The server is on the official KCD:MP list as play.bloodandbanners.net:7777, with 1000 places. The realm is open now: 0 of 1000 souls inside.

What there is to do
- Factions and heraldry. Found a house, a guild or a band for 500 groschen, with ranks, wages, rights and coffers. Design its coat of arms here and hang its banners in the game. Factions ally and declare wars with a stated cause, and hold towns and keeps. See the factions.
- Trades and crafting. Twenty-two trades, from woodcutter and miner to physician, herald and night watchman, each with ten levels. Forge by hand at the anvil, brew potions by the book, and follow the grain from field to mill to bakery. See the trades.
- An economy and a bank. Coin in your purse can be stolen; coin with the money-changer cannot. Hourly wages, the Crown's tax, trading posts that pay more for goods carried far, an auction house, and taverns of your own with a barkeep to sell for you.
- Property and housing. Buy a house, shop, tavern or market stall at its own door, or rent an inn room. Cut spare keys, keep a strongbox, furnish it, and pay the upkeep each week. See the property market.
- The law. Crimes others notice put you on the wanted roll with a bounty. The watch arrests and fines, the cell and the pillory wait, and the courts try those accused, sometimes by combat.
- Citizenship. Rise from Settler to Patrician by the hours you live in the realm and what you hold.
- Quests. Townsfolk with work to give, quests for one, co-op quests for up to six and group quests for three to twelve, and jobs posted by other players on the notice board.
- Tournaments and duels. Bouts at the lists with wagers, duels to the yield, to first blood or to the death before witnesses, archery contests, and sieges on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
- Hunting and fishing. Hunt with a licence, track legendary beasts with a price on their heads, and fish the rivers for record catches and three legendary fish.
- The website. A forum, a public page for every citizen, a live map of who holds what, a weekly broadsheet and badges. The guide explains every system.
A lethal blow wounds rather than kills. Struck again while wounded, you die and wake at the infirmary, which costs coin and time, but your character lives on.
The rules, in short
- Stay in character. Out-of-character talk goes in /b and /ooc, and only there.
- No killing without a reason your character would stand behind. A wounded enemy is a choice: finishing them is murder in the eyes of the law and of the staff.
- Value your life. When a blade is at your throat, act like it.
- Wars between factions need a stated cause and a day's notice. Sieges only at their appointed hours.
- No exploiting bugs, cheats or third-party tools. Report bugs to staff with /report.
- Respect other players. Harassment, hate speech and real-life threats mean a permanent ban.
Read every rule before you set out.
The community
Talk of the realm happens on the forum: help for newcomers (even while your application is read), faction recruitment, in-character letters and character stories. There is also a Discord. The staff keep the peace and answer tickets, and the server is kept by its players' patronage.
Questions about KCD2 roleplay
Is there multiplayer in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
Not officially. Warhorse Studios made Kingdom Come: Deliverance II a single-player game. Online multiplayer comes from KCD:MP, a free fan-made mod. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Warhorse Studios or Deep Silver.
How do I join a KCD2 roleplay server?
For Blood & Banners RP: register a character on this website, download our launcher, sign in with your character name and password, and press play. If you already use the KCD:MP launcher, find us on its server list or join play.bloodandbanners.net:7777.
Is it free?
Yes. The server, the KCD:MP mod and our launcher cost nothing. You need your own copy of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (Steam, the Microsoft Store or Epic), and that is all.
Do I need mods?
Only the KCD:MP client, and our launcher fetches the official one for you the first time (about 160 MB) and checks it. Nothing else needs installing.
What is KCD:MP?
KCD:MP is the fan-made multiplayer mod for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. It adds online play and a public list of servers, and each server runs its own game mode. Ours is Blood & Banners RP's own, built for role-play.
Is there pay-to-win?
No. Patronage on the support page buys thanks and honour: a badge, a name colour, a place held at the gates when the realm is full. It never buys coin, goods, weapons, skills, horses, property or faster progress. The one small exception: Discord server boosters get a weekly thanks of 150 groschen in the game - about two nights' wages.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Everyone plays on the same server. Found a faction together, take co-op quests for up to six or group quests for three to twelve, or meet at the lists and the duelling ground. Each friend needs their own copy of the game and their own character.
What languages?
English. The website, the guide and the game mode's own words are all in English, so English is the realm's common tongue.
